OUR CULTURE

Taking culture to new heights.

JetBlue’s five values are the foundation of who we are—constantly fueling our commitment to excel in the industry. The values shape our culture and help us inspire each other and our customers. Safety, Caring, Integrity, Passion and Fun drive what we do and how we do it, every day.

Dear Future Aviation Professionals,

For many, the dream of flight starts at an early age, but traditional pathways to highly skilled careers in the aviation industry often require more than passion. Without proper guidance, resources, and support, many with the right aptitude are grounded by uncertainty long before their dreams have had a chance to take flight.

JetBlue established the first of our pilot Gateways in 2008 to help break down those barriers and encourage the next generation of aviation professionals. Since then, we have welcomed hundreds of new pilots to JetBlue and expanded our Gateways to offer a suite of programs for future pilots and aircraft maintenance technicians. For those accepted into these industry-leading programs, our Gateways offer a clearly defined development plan with training and airline partners as well as JetBlue mentorship and support. With a conditional job offer based on successful program completion for every Gateways trainee, we’re also directly addressing career uncertainty with a rewarding future at a major airline.

Whether you’re only familiar with the customer cabin of a flight or are well on your way towards getting your aircraft certifications, we know there’s no single route to becoming a pilot or AMT, but we do believe there should be a path for anyone. We also take particular interest in supporting our crewmember development and have developed several Gateways specifically to help crewmembers grow their careers at JetBlue. In keeping with JetBlue’s caring culture, we’ve even taken the additional step to create a Gateway for our crewmembers’ immediate family, opening opportunities for parents, children, or siblings to help shape our future together. We hope you’ll take a moment to look through our Gateways programs and find the one that’s right for you.

We’re proud of JetBlue Gateways’ ability to open-up these rewarding careers to broader audiences and excited to welcome the next generation of aviation professionals to JetBlue. As you map what your future will look like, we stand ready to help your dreams take flight.

Which route do you want to take?
